Steve Assael was one of the most outstanding student members of the Early Morning Painting Group at Art and Design. It is significant that he is holding a drawing pad. He was an excellent draftsman even then, but today he is perhaps the best. As colleagues we shared the teaching of classes at the School of Visual Arts. He has had numerous exhibitions at prestigious museums and is often sought after to give workshops and demonstrations. The Forum Gallery represents his work. I am extremely proud of his amazing accomplishments. Today he is one of the leading painters of realism.
