Class Description
In this online painting class we will seek to promote realism in our painting.
- Painting from life via Zoom, and also painting from photo reference
- We will study and practice alla prima oil painting 
- We will paint still lifes, portraits, figure studies, and multifigure compositions
- We will seek to capture the uniqueness of the person or people we are painting
- Our inspiration will be the Old Masters of the Post Renaissance, but we will express our views and ideas of our contemporary world

Typical Class Structure:
- Max Ginsburg gives a painting demo from 10am -11:30am.
- Max will lecture and show a slide presentation of paintings relating to our studies from 11:30am - 1pm. During these presentations we will discuss ideas and concepts in art.
- The instructor will critique every student's painting(s) from 1pm-2pm.  This critique will be based on each student's level of development, whether a beginner or advanced.
- Students will be given assignments to do at home or work on the paintings they started in class.
